Joaquin Phoenix

I painted this tonight after struggling with frustration all day in the studio. The subject matter and media came together to be very cathartic, and I now feel much better.

    Jeff,

    Every painting for me is frustration. There are times when things work out, but many more occasions where they don't. It's through the mistakes that we learn- not the triumphs.
