The Sacrifice for Harry
Comic artist (and my fellow housemate) Julia Scott is putting together a Harry Potter zine and she asked me to contribute. I've yet to read the books but I am in love with all the movies.
A defining moment in the Harry Potter lore is when Harry is orphaned at the hands of "He Who Must Not Be Named," and receives his iconic scar.
I'm also a huge Batman fan. Like Bruce Wayne, Harry Potter's parents were murdered when he was very young. I threw a little nod to Bruce's parents' murder with the broken pearl necklace on Harry's mom.
Julia will have copies of this zine with her at the MOCCA Festival this year, so if you see her there, don't be afraid to get yourself one.
