Announcements!

Sorry I haven't been too active on here, a lot's been going on on my end. Like how I'll be in a gallery show next week!

My art is on its way to the gallery now, as you can see above...The show is a tribute to Disney animation, and it'll be at the Buttonwood Art Space in Kansas City, MO. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend due to a schedule conflict. So if you're in Kansas City on June 1st, I hope you can go check out the show (and take pictures for me!).

And also...I have a portfolio site now!

Go check it out HERE

Thanks for reading!

I found out last night that my piece Zombie won the gold medal at this year’s Richmond Illustrator’s Club Juried Show! Ditto and British Security Bees were also accepted into the show. Thanks to the Richmond Illustrators’ Club and all the jurors! The show information is below. If you’re town that night, come out and enjoy some bad-ass work from some bad-ass illustrators.

Also, buy me a beer.

Or two.

Mushrooms!

Redid two paintings that I posted earlier, and painted two more.  The best part of doing this series is that I got to cook 'em and eat 'em!

Some storyboards for the upcoming comic book.
A little sneak peek; we follow the misadventures of one sidecharacter named Sneaks in these panels. While venturing out looting, following his greedy nose, the little rascal happens on a great find accidentally. The type that shakes the world and sets off power struggles.
More to come.

La Isla de la Munecas or The Island of the Dolls
The following is a true story.

A hermit named Don Julian lived on an island south of Mexico City. Although he had a family, he chose to live the last 50 years of his life alone. Julian became obsessed with the death of a young girl who drowned in a canal near the island. One day, he found a doll floating in the water and tied it to a tree to appease the spirit of the young girl. Over the years, he would fish lost broken dolls out of the water. He would even trade his goods for dolls in a local town. Eventually, the hermit tied hundreds of dolls to the trees of his island, creating a shrine for a soul that was lost too soon. In 2001, Don Julian was found dead. He drowned in the same canal as the girl. People say that the girl’s spirit haunts the Island of the Dolls.

I just found out that my pieces, British Security Bees, Ditto, and Zombie were all accepted into the Richmond Illustrator’s Club Juried Show in the Uncommissioned category. It’s such an honor to have that many pieces in the show. Thanks to the Richmond Illustrator’s Club and all the jurors.

store

Hey there!  I just want to let everyone know that I've set up a store on my website.  So if you are interested in purchasing some of my work, now you can.  I only have one screen-print on there right now (see below), but there are very few remaining.  I'll be sure to get more work up there soon!
Thanks.
