This morning we had one of our weekly critiques with Sterling - one of the invaluable aspects of working out of the studio here. Up above are Leslie Herman, Ted Kinsella, and Jenna Chew going over one of Ted's pieces in progress with Sterling.

AWOL - In Progress

This is the illustration I worked on this week for the Career Mentorship Program at TAD RVA. It is based on an article that originally appeared in Harper's Magazine by Kathy Dobie entitled "AWOL in America: When Desertion is the Only Option". Below are some of the thumbnails and reference photos I used during the making of the piece. I am looking forward to the group critique Monday morning with Josh, Sterling, Leslie, Jenna, and Ted, and will hopefully work some more on the piece this coming week after receiving their thoughts.
